The Carol Duvall Show camera crew visits the home of mixed media artist Guillermo Bert to focus on his contemporary art ideas. Though an artist for more than 20 years, Bert has only recently taken an interest in street posters. After noting how collections of street posters become thick and as sturdy as cardboard when layered, Bert peels sections of these layers from street buildings and walls. He takes them to his studio and uses these types of surfaces as canvases for original paintings with varieties of themes, from sumo wrestlers to buffalo. He then peels back the layers of the posters to create what he calls reverse collage.
