    Materials:
    cardstock for card
    ribbon
    decorative paper
    fabric
    hole punch
    glue
    scissors - regular and decorative-edged
    stuffing for pocket
    brush markers
    black-dye stamp pad
    laminating machine or spray glue
    foam tape
    toothpicks
Rubber stamps: Witchie, Witchie; Witch One; Web Site; Screamie, Screamie; Peek-A-Boo; Witch Kit; Pumpkin Topiaries - discontinued, use any desired rubber stamps

    Steps:

    1. Cut cardstock to 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (half sheet of standard size cardstock). Fold this in half for a card that will have the dimensions of 5-1/4" x 4-1/4".
    2. Try to use three coordinating pieces of decorative paper and/or fabric of the same color scheme. Cut two pieces of the paper to 5-1/4" x 4"; cut the other piece to 1-1/2" x 5-1/4".
    3. Glue one of the 5-1/4" x 4" pieces of paper to the inside of the card. This is where your message will be stamped. If you are going to emboss your message, do it before gluing the paper to the card. Stamp your message up higher on the paper so the message won't be seen "peeking" out from underneath the cover of the card, because you don't want the message to be seen until you open the card. Note: If using fabric, you will want to use a bonding medium such as lamination or iron-on transfer material.
    4. Before attaching the second piece of 5-1/4" x 4" paper, trim it with decorative scissors. Don't cut off too much of the paper. Glue this piece to the upper-inside flap of the card.
    5. Glue the third piece of paper to the upper section on the front of the card.
    6. Once paper pieces have been glued on, place your card in front of you. Fold the lower left and right corners of the card, front up, until they meet, forming a triangle-shaped pocket. Crease the edges down. Tip: Measure 2-3/4" up each side of the card and mark with a pencil. Measure 2-3/4" across the bottom of the front of the card (which will be the middle of the card) and mark with pencil. Score between the pencil lines for easy folding.
    7. Punch a small hole in each corner of the two triangle flaps. Tie the flaps together, stringing coordinating ribbon through the two holes and tying a bow.
    8. "Stuff" your card with your stamped creations and embellishments. Glittery grass makes a great stuffing.

      Pocket Card Themes
Background Ideas - Stamp on images using large stamps or glue-on doilies or die cuts.

Stuffing Ideas - For Easter cards, stuff with Easter grass, fine grass, tiny eggs, miniature carrots. For Halloween cards, stuff with moss or cobwebbing. For Christmas, stuff with cotton sprinkled with glitter. For everyday use, use stamped impressions, tissue, excelsior, corrugated paper strips, silk flowers or bits of doilies. For a western theme, use straw. For a gardening theme, try silk flowers, mini flower pots, mini gardening tools and gardening charms. For a special treat, add a homemade pin to the pocket.

Embellishment Ideas - Try embellishing with ribbon, fabric, buttons, stamped impressions on picks, miniature floral picks, small stamped impressions attached with foam dots, mini signs, glitter, raffia, twine, charms, gold foil punch-outs, fabric paint or stickers.

Papers - Try using tissue paper, decorative papers, gift wrap, wallpaper, exotic papers, newspaper (everything from funny pages to stock report), paper doilies.

Ties - Lots of different possibilities for tying your triangles together: Ribbon (all kinds, including satin ribbon, sheer ribbon and French ribbon), jute, leather (great for Western card), yarn. For a birthday you can tie with curling ribbon and get lots of colorful curls!
