    Materials:

1 lb. melt-and-pour clear glycerin soap base
8 oz. melt-and-pour opaque white glycerin soap base
    acrylic tube mold
gel-tone soap colorants - guest used pink, black, red and pearl white
fragrance- guest used Skin Scentials mango papaya
    microwaveable bowl or double boiler
    pastry knife
cutting board - glass or plastic recommended
    spray bottle containing rubbing alcohol
    spoon or stirring stick

    Steps:

    1. Cut off 3" of soap and melt it in the microwave or double boiler until it liquifies.
    2. Color soap with pink gel tone. Pour approximately half of the melted soap onto the cutting board. Make an area approximately 3" x 4" and 1/8" to 1/4" thick.
    3. In a separate area of the cutting board, pour out a little more of the soap, and immediately place the tube mold on top of it. This soap will seal the bottom of the tube mold.
    4. Color the remaining melted soap in the bowl with black gel-tone colorant. Test the pink soap with your fingers. When it has cooled enough to form a firm skin on top, it is ready for the second pour.
    5. Pour the black soap over the cooled pink soap.
    6. While the black layer of soap cools, melt the remainder of soap base in a double boiler or microwave. Add approximately 1 tablespoon of mango papaya Skin Scentials fragrance. Stir well and set aside.
    7. Test the black soap with your fingers. If it is still warm but solid to the touch, it is time to form the jelly-roll shape. Trim away any rough edges using the pastry knife. Next, gently peel away the layers of soap from the cutting board with the pastry knife. Roll up the soap tightly like a jellyroll.
    8. Trim one end off the jellyroll so it can stand upright, and place in the tube mold.
    9. Stir the scented soap once or twice. When steam is no longer rising from the soap, pour it over and around the jellyroll in the tube mold. Do not pour all the way to the top of the mold. Leave the top 1/4" - 1/2" of the mold empty.
    10. Allow the soap to harden in the tube mold for several hours.
    11. Once the soap has hardened, remove the tube mold from the cutting board and place in a hot-water bath in a sink for two minutes.
    12. Turn the tube mold upside down and gently press the bottom. The soap should slip right out.
    13. Slice the tube of soap into pieces approximately 1" thick. This makes four to five bars of soap.
Tip: Do not put the soap in the freezer to speed hardening; it will make the soap difficult to slice later.
