Materials:
4 oz. melt-and-pour clear glycerin soap base 8 oz. melt-and-pour opaque white glycerin soap base pastry knife ice-cube tray soap mold- use a plastic bowl or loaf pan gel-tone soap colorants - guest used neon pink, neon blue and neon yellow gel tones fragrance - guest used Vanilla Peach Skin Scentials microwaveable bowl or double boiler spoon or stirring stick
Steps: - Melt a third of the clear glycerin soap base in the microwave or double boiler until it liquifies.
- Color with gel-tone colorants, and pour into several of the ice-cube-tray cavities.
- Repeat step two with other colors until the ice-cube tray is full. Set tray aside to cool.
- When color cubes have hardened, pop them out of the ice cube tray just as you would cubes of ice. Drop the cubes randomly into the plastic bowl or loaf pan.
- Melt the white soap in the microwave or double boiler. Scent with one teaspoon of fragrance, and stir well.
- Allow the white soap to cool until steam no longer rises from the bowl and a thin skin forms on top.
- Pour the white soap over the color cubes.
- Allow soap to cool for a couple of hours. Turn soap upside down and pop out of mold. Use a pastry knife to slice the soap into smaller, soap bar pieces. Slice the soap with a hand-held French fry cutter to give the bars a fun, crinkle cut finish.
