    Steps:

    1. Condition all clays by kneading before use.

    2. To create the face, roll a ball of scrap clay. Spray a face-shaped button, bead or dresser drawer pull with automotive spray and press into clay. Remove, leaving face impression in clay (figure A).

    3. Bake at 270 F degrees for 20 minutes and allow to cool completely.

    4. Roll out white clay on the second-thickest setting of the pasta machine. Press the 2-1/2-inch circle cutter into clay. Remove excess. Press the 3/4-inch circle cutter lightly into the center of the circle. Do not completely cut through (figure B).

    5. Roll a 3/4-inch ball of beige clay. Apply a small amount of protectant spray onto the cooled face mold, press clay into mold and release, leaving a face impression in clay (figure C).

    6. Press the 3/4-inch cutter onto face and remove excess (figure D). Position in the center of the circle and adhere with craft glue.

    7. Press a seed bead into each eye.

    8. Using a cotton swab, lightly dust face with pink embossing powder.

    9. Roll a thin snake of yellow clay and wrap around face (figure E). Smooth seam.

    10. Using the craft knife, cut petals around the face, starting in the center and coming to a tip at the edge of the circle. Remove the excess. Score the spines of the petals by using needle tool (figure F). Cut a small hole in the very top petal using a needle tool. To create extra petals, roll out white clay on second-thickest setting of pasta machine. Cut six petals. Score spines with needle tool.

    11. Wrap the blunt side of each petal around a piece of wire approx. 2 inches long, so the blunt end touches the other side of the petal, and press lightly to secure (figure G).

    12. Dab a cotton swab into the gold embossing powder and brush the tips of all individual petals and flower petals (figure H).

    13. Bake the petals and the flower in the oven at 270 F degrees for 20 minutes. Allow to cool completely. Remove the wire from the petals and set aside.

    14. Take one of the pre-cut wires and wrap it around the round-nose pliers, creating a loop with approx. 1-1/2 inch on one side and 1/2 inch on the other. Loop the wire into the hole on the top petal of flower. Angle the wire link to one side (figure I).

    15. Wrap the smaller end of the wire around the larger end two times. Cut off the extra wire with wire cutters. Repeat with the other side of the flower.

    16. Attach an amber bead on each link and wrap wire around needle pliers, creating a loop, and again around the other side of the wire (figure J). Cut off excess.

    17. Continue to wire wrap the remaining beads and add the links to the necklace, alternating between the amber beads and the petals (figure K).

    18. Attach the last loop of each remaining link to each side of clasp.
