Project by Michele Gerbrandt.Materials:
1-9/16" square punch
1-1/4" circle punch
petal leaf punch
1/8" hole punch
green and burgundy eyelets
eyelet setter
hammer
scissors
mat or scrap wood to hammer eyelets on
acid-free adhesive
12" x 12" cream background paper
12" x 12" striped cranberry paper
12" x 12" card stock: dark green, light green, dark burgundy, light burgundy, dark gold, and light gold
Steps:1. To create the floral medallion, punch one 1-9/16-inch square from the dark green card stock. Punch one 1-1/4-inch circle from light green card stock. Adhere circle onto square with acid-free adhesive (figure A).
2. Punch four light gold petal leaves and two dark gold petal leaves. Adhere light gold leaves to light green circle to form the flower. Cut dark gold petals in half lengthwise and adhere half of dark gold leaf on top of light gold leaf, forming a shadow effect to the flower (figure B).
3. Using the 1/8-inch hole punch, punch a hole in the center of the flower (figure C). Add a burgundy eyelet and set with eyelet setter and hammer. Repeat steps using burgundy paper and green eyelets (figure D).
4. To finish the page, cut striped burgundy paper into a 2" x 12" strip and mount vertically on the left edge of the cream cardstock. Adhere medallions onto the strip, alternating with green and burgundy colors. Cut a smaller 2" x 4" striped burgundy strip. Add two medallions and adhere in the lower right corner of page.
5. Using burgundy or green paper, mat and mount photos to page. Add journaling (figure E).
