Crochet hats aren’t just for the granola-loving crowd anymore. Author of "Get Your Crochet On!" Afya Ibomu and her crochet buddy Kissa Thompson take them in an urban, hip-hop direction with two projects — a fun visor and a funky ski cap with extra-long earflaps and a colorful coordinating pompom. The visor is an easier project and involves adding snaps for a secure fit. The ski cap is slightly more complex and has added elastic for fit. Both of these caps are fun to make and will set the wearer apart no matter where they’re worn.
