Regina and Briana, of Monster Crochet, think crochet is appropriate for any occasion -- even a day at the races! You can?t go to the Derby without a handmade hat, so the ladies will crochet a funky, dainty hat using floral wire for shaping and then embellished with tulle and velvet ribbon. They will then demonstrate the traditional craft of thread crochet. This isn?t your grandma?s doily though: it's modernized with an image from the racetrack. And they?re off!
