We'll learn the basics of freeform crochet with freeform expert Prudence Mapstone and members of the International Freeform Crochet guild as we create unique purses. Prudence begins by explain what freeform is and how to start on the edge of the bag; then she shows how to crochet a design right into the rug canvas and embellish it with flowers and leaves. She finishes off her freeform purses by sewing a simple seam and adding the handles. We then have the privilege of looking at some of Prudence’s other freeform pieces, including a jacket, a wrap and an incredible cape.
