Baking pans and muffin tins are great for storing odds and ends, but they're hard to stack when full. To organize your muffin tins, build a cabinet to store them in (figure A). Your baking pans and tins should be close to the same width for this project. Determine how much space you'll need by measuring the largest tin from end to end and side to side (figure B). Cut the sides of the cabinet to size, and attach cleats to the inside of the wall. The lips of the pans will rest on the cleats. Make sure the cleats aren't too close together, or the pans won't all fit. Use a square to draw reference lines for the cleats, and nail the cleats in place (figure C). Lay the two side walls together to make sure the cleats are in line with each other (figure D). Hold the sides upright, and set a pan in position (figure E) to determine the measurements for the top and bottom pieces. Measure the distance between the inside walls, and cut two boards to size. Nail the top and bottom pieces in place, and secure the pieces with screws for added stability.
