Texturize manufactured die-cuts with beads or embellish your own cardstock cutouts as we did here.

Add glittery details directly to the images on your scrapbook page with a thin line of glue sprinkled with beads. In case the detail is too small to see, these little girls are sporting a beaded headband and necklace, and the roofline that frames them is bejeweled as well.

Add dimension to your scrapbook pages with texturized die-cuts you make yourself. Buy or make die-cuts, or simply cut shapes from cardstock, then attach a layer of beads with glue or double-sided tape.

Texturizing beads go by a variety of names. Teeny tiny beeds without holes are called Beadz and Tiny Glass Marbles. When they're mixed with bugle and seed beads they go by the names Treasure Beadz and Micro Mosaics. Beads can be stuck to die-cuts with a new product called Terrifically Tacky Tape, a strong, acid-free, double-sided tape, or with tacky craft glue.

    Materials:

Machine made die-cuts or your own paper cutouts
Texturizing beads: Treasure Beadz, Micro Mosaics, Beadz or Tiny Glass Marbles
Terrifically Tacky Tape or tacky craft glue and foam brush
    Paper plate and a spoon

    1. Pour beads onto a paper plate.

    2. Apply Terrifically Tacky Tape or tacky glue to one side of your die-cut or paper cutout. If using glue, apply a substantial layer with your finger or a foam brush (figure A).

    3. If using the bead mixtures like Treasure Beadz or Micro Mosaics, press the sticky side of the die-cut face down on the beads to adhere the larger beads first. Then turn the beaded side face up and heap on a spoonful of beads (figure B). The tiny beads will fill in all the empty spaces.

    4. If using only the tiny holeless beads, simply place the sticky side of the die cut face up and spoon the tiny beads over.

    5. When the glue is dry, add the beaded die-cuts to your scrapbook pages.
