Basic supplies are the foundation of the Grandparents Scrapbooking Kit: a simple scrapbook, a variety of patterned and solid paper and cardstock, a good pair of craft scissors, mounting adhesive and photo stickers, and stick-on alphabet letters.

Consider adding a photo trimmer to the kit. It makes easy work of cropping photos perfectly.

Include a few sheets of whimsical stickers and a packet of die-cut photo frames in the kit. For one-of-a-kind frames, cut frame shapes out of specialty paper.

Search the scrapbooking section of your craft store for grandparent stickers, such as "#1 Grandpa" and "We love you, Grandma", or make your own by writing personal messages on blank banner stickers.

Show Grandpa and Grandma how much you love them with a cool scrapbooking kit to help them organize and show off proud moments and happy times with their grandkids. If they're new to scrapbooking, help them along with the first few pages, showing them the basics of cutting, measuring, gluing and so on. A mini-album or brag book might be a good place to start, perhaps featuring a new grandchild or recent kindergarten graduate.

    Materials:

    Scrapbook
    Photo trimmer
A variety of cardstock and decorative paper
Adhesive (photo stickers, mounting adhesive or glue stick)
    Sharp craft scissors
    Die-cut frames and borders
Theme stickers zoo animals, kids playing, Grandpa and Grandma stickers)
    Stick-on alphabet letters
    Scrapbook markers
    Poly string-and-button-closure envelopes

    • Enclose the supplies in a pair of poly string-and-button-closure envelopes. Use one envelope for cardstock, decorative paper and so forth, and the other envelope for tools.

    • Large discount stores often have a good selection of scrapbooking supplies. Craft stores carry the basics plus specialty items such as grandparent-themed stickers, as well as tons of fun extras like rubber stamps, embossing supplies and specialty papers. Always make sure your scrapbooking supplies are acid-free and lignin-free so your wonderful creations can be enjoyed by the little ones featured in them when they become adults.
