Decoupage and collage gel
Xyron 510 Fiskars photo tabs or other adhesive - Background paper is E-Magination lime green.
- From one sheet of white card stock, cut two strips measuring 2-1/2" wide. Tear lengthwise along the edges of each strip. Rip about 2" off one end of each strip, rounding the edge. Be sure to tear in the same direction (toward you or away from you) for a consistent look.
- From the sheet of white cardstock, cut two more strips measuring 2-1/2" wide. Tear lengthwise along the edges of each strip. Rip about 1" off of one end of each strip, rounding the edge.
- From the Splatter Net, cut two strips measuring 1"x10" and cut two strips of Splatter Net measuring 1"x9".
- Using Decoupage & Collage Gel, attach one 1"x9" strip of Splatter Net to each shorter, torn strip of white card stock. Attach one 1"x10" strip of Splatter Net to each longer, torn strip of white card stock.
- Run card stock strips through your Xyron 510 and adhere to your background paper. Place the two shorter strips at the top of each page about 1/4" from the top. Place the two longer strips at the bottom of each page about 1/4" from the bottom.
- Peel off the letters needed for your title from the Colorbok Funky Alphastax. In this case, the title is "Memories Expo." Remove the backing from each letter and place onto the top strip on top of the Splatter Net. Angle the letters in different directions for a more fun or whimsical look.
- From the Playtime Plaid, cut a strip measuring 2" wide. From that strip, cut three squares measuring 2"x2". Do the same with the Purple Squares paper.
- From the white cardstock, cut a strip measuring 2-1/2". From that strip, cut five squares measuring 2-1/2"x2-1/2". You will need to cut one additional 2-1/2"x2-1/2" square from your remaining white cardstock. You will have a total of six squares.
- Adhere each patterned paper square to a white square with Fiskars Photo Tabs, Glue Dots or your Xyron. Alternate color and adhere to the bottom of each page. The squares are a great place to journal, do a subtitle, as well as add additional photos to a page! You can use your trimmer to trim pictures to 2"x2" or even use a 2" square punch.
- From your white cardstock, cut two photo mats measuring 4-1/2"x6-1/2". Also cut four photo mats measuring 3-1/2"x4-1/2".
- From your Purple Squares paper, cut two photo mats measuring 4-1/2"x61/4". Adhere these to the white photo mats that measure 4-1/2"x6-1/2".
- From your Purple Squares paper, cut one photo mat measuring 3-1/4"x4-1/4". Adhere to one of the white photo mats measuring 3-1/2"x 41/2".
- From your Playtime Plaid paper, cut three photo mats measuring 3-1/4"x4-1/4". Adhere these to the remaining white photo mats measuring 3-1/2"x4-1/2".
- From the white card stock, cut a photo mat measuring 3"x4" and adhere to the smaller photo mat with Purple Squares on it. Although the Memories Expo logo was placed here, you can use this as your journaling box.
- The other photo mats are ready to have photos adhered to them and placed on the background paper as arranged.
- Adhere a button to the center of 3-4 flower die-cuts with a glue dot, and place on each end of your title using glue dots to adhere. You can also place other flowers randomly on the layout.
- On the Making Memories square tags, write captions for your photos.
- Following the directions on the package, transfer colored circles from your Creative Imaginations Bradwear onto the Creative Imaginations Brads. Making enough brads for the number of tags you plan to use with your photos.
- Place the Brads through the tags and affix the tags to your photos. To have tags that move, punch the tabs from the brads through your paper. To have your tags stay in one position, use a glue dot to adhere each tag in place.
- Using the Punch Bunch swirl, punch out several swirls from both the Playtime Plaid and Purple Squares paper. Adhere with your Xyron around the layout, over photo mats and in corners.
- Place various buttons around the layout where needed.
