To create the paper gardening stakes featured on the Blooming Photo Bouquet, watch this short video technique from Anna Griffin.

Make special photos bloom as part of a bouquet. Anna Griffin demonstrates a technique that combines beautiful botanical papers with cherished photographs.

    Materials:

    1 sheet AG100 Yellow Gingham
    3 sheets AG230 Crocus
    1 sheet AG031 Lavender Victoria
    1 sheet AG003 Green Plumes
    1 sheet AG032 Lavender/yellow stripes
1 sheet AG243 Green Journal Page
    3 pieces AG418 Lavender frame
1 piece CS306 Green Vellum Butterfly
    Decorative scissors
    Craft knife
    Foam tape
    Archival glue or tape

Tip: Remember, any variety of coordinating papers can be used. However, to create the bouquet, you will need to select a paper that features large blossoms that can easily be cut away and arranged.

    1. Create a triple-layered background by trimming Yellow Gingham paper and mounting to Lavender Victoria paper. Then, use decorative scissors to trim the edges of the Green Plumes paper and add visual interest. Then, mount to the others (figure A).

    2. Next, trim individual flowers from the floral paper using a craft knife (figure B).

    3. Use vellum envelope as a "vase" and mount to bottom of page.

    4. Fill the vase with individual flowers (figure C), using foam tape to create dimension and adhere the flowers to the page.

    5. Use small frames to highlight wallet-sized photos and insert into the bouquet (figure D).

    6. Then, create paper "stake" caption by trimming the striped paper and creating a "pretzel" style twist to make the corners. Use a small strip of paper "ribbon" to wrap around a square from the journal sheet.

    7. Finally, to create the title strip, make a banner from the striped paper and secure to the page with foam tape.
