Having trouble cutting ovals? You're not alone. Dan David's wife had difficulty cutting clean shapes, which led David to create a special tool to easily cut the shape for her. Here, David shows DIY Scrapbooking host Sandi Genovese how simple it is to crop photos and cut shapes and frames.

    Materials:

Lighthouse Memories Ovals and More Cutter
    Photos
    Paper or cardstock of choice

    1. Before beginning, change size on the tool to cut the exact size desired (figure A).

    2. Then, place tool over photo. Starting with the handle at the side position , turn the handle one full cut (figure B).

    3. To create a frame, leave cardstock or paper in place, then adjust the size setting and make a second cut.

    4. To create a perfectly cropped photo, center guide over photo as desired (figure C).

    5. Then, place cutter over the guide and photo. Remove guide and cut photo by turning handle of tool.
