Put all your sports minutiae in one place -- create a sports pocket page. To see more of Vicky Breslin's technique, watch this short video.

Designer Vicky Breslin creates a pocket page to store her surplus of sports memorabilia -- tickets, menus, programs and line-ups.

    Materials:

    Blue and white patterned paper
    Brick cardstock
    Craft knife and ruler
    Cutting mat
    Double-sided adhesive
    Dusty blue cardstock
    Sports-themed die-cuts
    Sports-themed buttons
    Hole punch
    Eyelets, eyelet setter and hammer
    Navy blue ribbon
    Pennant die-cut
    Lettering template
    Pencil
    Light brown patterned paper
    Glue Dots
    Scissors

    1. To make the pocket, first cut blue and white patterned paper at a 45-degree angle. Mat on brick cardstock.

    2. Trim the brick cardstock at the same angle, leaving 1/2" border extending beyond the edge of the patterned paper.

    3. Apply double-sided adhesive to sides and bottom of pocket -- leaving angled top edge free -- then mount to sheet of dusty blue cardstock (figure A).

    4. Next, begin decorating the angled memorabilia pocket. Adhere sports-themed die-cuts (figure B).

    5. Then, use scissors to cut shanks from button backs (figure C).

    6. Use glue dots to adhere buttons to the angled pocket (figure D).

    7. To add pennant to pocket, first punch two equally spaced holes on straight outer edge. Use eyelet setter and hammer to add eyelets to the holes. Lace navy ribbon through holes, tie and cut.

    8. Finally, turn lettering template upside down and backwards on the back surface of brown patterned paper (this will prevent traced lines from showing on the front surface). Trace and cut letters.

    9. Turn letters to front surface, adhere to title strip (figure E), then adhere strip to finished page .

    10. Add memorabilia to pocket.
