Look to country quilts for design inspiration. With the great variety of quilt textures, patterns and colors available, a spectrum of looks and homespun warmth can be woven into scrapbook pages.

    Note: Steps 1-5available using

Scrapbook pages look warm and cozy when dressed up with quilted pages. Almost any type of quilting style will work, but Scrapbooking host Michele Gerbrandt decided a block quilt would work better for her project. She shows how she used preprinted quilt -design paper to bring a variety of colors and pattern to her page.

    Materials:

    Adhesive
    Ruler
    Pencil
    Journaling pen
3 different printed papers per block12" base page or paper
    1-1/4"-square punches or templates (optional)

    1. Use pencil to create a grid of nine squares. Divide the 12-inch base page into three rows of 4-inch squares, so that it looks like a tictactoe board (illustration, steps 1-5).

    2. From printed papers, cut or punch several 1-1/- inch squares.

    3. Cut the squares diagonally to create triangles.

    4. Arrange and adhere triangles to page to create various quilt blocks.

    5. Mount photos and journal.
