Glue, scissors, and a planned layout can create stunning tiled pages.

    Note: Steps 1-6 available using

Mosaics are visually dynamic pages created by the cutting and tiling of photographs. These pages look difficult but are easily mastered with practice and time. Scrapbooking host Michele Gerbrandt demonstrates.

    Materials:

    Photographs
    Plastic bag
    Acid-free adhesive
    Ruler
    Pencil
Photo-safe blue wax pencil (for writing on back of photos)
    Scissors/craft knife
    Scrapbook page or acid-free paper

    1. Arrange selected photos on scrapbook page/paper (illustration, steps 1-6).

    2. Using a blue wax pencil and a ruler, create a grid of 1-inch squares on the back of photos.

    3. Label individual squares on back of photo (for example: 1a, 1b, 1c, etc.).

    4. Cut photos into 1-inch squares and place in plastic bag.

    5. Use ruler to draw guidelines on scrapbook page or paper.

    6. Arrange photo squares as desired and adhere to page and journal.
