Folded doors can open to reveal a beautifully displayed heritage photo.

Note: Steps 1-5 available using  Scrapbooking host Michele Gerbrandt showcases a heritage photo by creating decorative folded doors. Gerbrandt says this technique works equally well for contemporary photos. Materials: 2 sheets of black acid-free paper or scrapbook pages (to be used as doors and base piece)
Acid-free paper for mat
1 die-cut frame or template (optional)
Black acid-free tape
Acid-free adhesive
Ruler
Craft knife or scissors
Pencil
Journaling pen
Paper to mount photo
- Mount centered die-cut frame onto a piece of cardstock (illustration, steps 1-5).
- Mark center with pencil and cut to create doors.
- Use craft knife to cut detailing along inside of die-cut pattern.
- Use acid-free black tape to secure doors to base page.
- Mount photo under doors and journal as desired.
