A decorative punch can give handmade photo corners the look of heirloom lace.

Note: Steps 1-5 available using  Creating decorative photo corners is simple with these step-by-step instructions from DIY Scrapbooking host Michele Gerbrandt. Materials: Acid-free paper
Ruler
Pencil
Acid-free adhesive
Decorative corner punch (optional)
- Draw a 2-inch square on a corner of acid-free paper (illustration, steps 1-5 ).
- Divide the square into four equal sections by drawing a cross in the middle. Cut out the square.
- If a decorative effect is desired, use a decorative punch on one outside corner of the square.
- Cut out one of the small sections (if a decorative punch is used, remove the diagonal corner), so that an L shape remains.
- Fold top and bottom flaps under the center flap (the one with the decorative corner) to create a pocket for photo. Place corner on photo and adhere corner to page.
