Love the look of black and white photography, but only have color photos to work with? Use the latest technology to enhance, alter and convert your photographs. Kathryn Chambless uses the Kodak PictureMaker to scan a color photograph, convert it to black and white, and print multiple copies. - First, Chambless places the photograph face down on the scanner and presses the touch-screen prompts to scan the image.
- Next, Chambless converts the photo to black and white by making the appropriate selections. The PictureMaker also allows contrast and brightness to be adjusted and can zoom in on the photo's subject. Converting the photo to black and white can create a timeless image, as well as masking differences in skin tones and neutralizing clashing colors.
- After selecting options, Chambless simply presses "print" on the screen and waits for her new black and white image.
