Photo stickers—also created using the PictureMaker—were cleverly arranged to create Carlyle's "paw prints"!

Kathryn Chambless of Kodak uses the latest photo technology to transform her pet photo and create the elements for a clever pet-themed page.

Chambless uses the PictureMaker to alter and enhance her photos. By following the on-screen prompts, even the novice cropper can easily use the system.

    • Getting started. First, touch screen, then place photo on scanner bed and close lid. Follow on-screen prompts.

    • Zoom and crop. Zoom in on the part of the photo you want to save, then press the screen to select the area you want cropped.

    • Alter your photo. The PictureMaker can lighten or darken the photo (brightness/contrast option), reduce red-eye, restore color balance, or create black and white or sepia tone images. Once you've altered the old photo and have created the new image as desired, it's time to add graphics (optional).

    • Add text and borders. Before printing, the on-screen prompts will offer the option of adding text or borders. Look for a border or text that will work with the photo and the overall theme of your page. Prefer to add your own graphics later? Simply skip this step.

    • Save and print. Save your photo and select a print option. The software will allow you to create stickers, cards or calendars, as well as enlargements or multiple images. Once you've made your selection, press the print option and wait for the PictureMaker to process your new images.
