    Designer Paulette Jarvey uses tags to create four very different layout designs.

    Mother's Day

    Materials:

    Dark blue paisley patterned paper
    Light blue paisley patterned paper
    Pastel blue vellum paper
    Ivory paper
    Metallic gold paper or cardstock
    Paper Pizazz Tag Art Cut-Outs
    Tag template
    Gold Pen
    Scissors
    Ruler
    Glue

    1. Cut two triangle from dark blue paisley paper. Center on top and bottom of striped paper and adhere.

    2. Tear a 3-3/4" x 12" strip from the pastel blue vellum paper. Glue piece in center of page.

    3. Cut an 8-1/2" square from the light blue paisley paper. Glue to page on turned point.

    4. Cut out large flower tag and mat on metallic gold, trimming to leave a 1/8" border.

    5. To create the vellum pocket: cut out 2-1/8" x 3" blue vellum strip, place over tag, tear just the blue vellum at an angle and glue at the corners of the blue vellum.

    6. Cut out small flower tag and mat on metallic gold, trim metallic gold to leave 1/8" border. Cut out of the blue vellum a 2-1/8" x 4-1/2" rectangle. Glue little flower tag to the left edge of the blue vellum rectangle and fold blue vellum in an accordion fashion. Trim the top of the blue vellum to the size of the small flower tag.

    7. Tear from blue vellum a 5-1/2" square to place on a diagonal behind your matted photo.

      Mat photo to pastel ivory, then trim ivory to leave 1/8" border. Mat photo with ivory border to metallic gold, then trim gold to leave 1/8" border.

    8. Use gold pen for penwork and journaling.

    Materials:

    Pink diamond patterned paper
    Pink vellum
    Metallic gold cardstock or paper
    Tags template
    Gold and black pens
    Metallic gold thread
    Square punch
    Gold charms
    String of small ivory pearls
    3/16" & 1/8" gold eyelets
    Eyelet setter and hammer
    1/2" sheer burgundy ribbon
    Pressed flowers
    Glue dots
    Foam mounting tape
    Scissors
    Ruler
    Glue

    1. Cover tags with pink diamonds. Trim to size. Punch a window in each tag with a square punch. Place pink vellum behind the window.

    2. Place dried flower behind vellum and cover with another layer of pink vellum to seal. Outline tags and windows with gold pen.

    3. Set 3/16" eyelets in the top of each tag.

    4. Journal on pink vellum with black pen. Wrap tags with pearls, then thread charms on thread and add to tag. Thread eyelet with gold thread.

    5. Place foam tape on back of tags and adhere to left side of the page. Top with a burgundy bow.

    6. Using one of the punched out squares, adhere dried flower, journal with black pen, wrap with gold thread and adhere to page in the middle of the two tags with foam tape.

    7. Crop and mat focus photo on metallic gold, trim to 1/16" border. Mat on pink diamonds paper and trim to 1/4" border. Outline with gold pen, then mat on pink vellum, trim to 1/2", outline with gold pen. Adhere to the page.

    8. Trim pink vellum to fit remaining photos. Journal on pink vellum with black pen. Mat photos on metallic gold, trim to 1/16". Adhere vellum overlay with 1/8" gold eyelets in each corner. Adhere to page.

    Goal Oriented

    Materials:

    Sports field collage paper (a football field was used here)
    Black paper
    Tags template
    Soccer balls patterned paper
    12" x 12" white vellum
    Black pen
    Black decorating chalk
    Circle punch
    Black and white fibers
    Black and white embroidery floss
    1/8" and 3/16" white eyelets
    Glue dots
    Foam mounting tape
    Small needle
    Scissors
    Ruler
    Glue

    1. Tear white vellum to 12" x 5.5" strip and adhere strip to football field collage paper using 1/8" black eyelets in each corner.

    2. Cut soccer balls from patterned paper using a silhouette cut. Adhere over and under torn seam of vellum strip, alternating the use of glue and foam tape.

    3. Crop and mat photo on black paper, trim to leave 1/16" border, then mat on white vellum, trimmed to 1/8" border. Center and adhere to football field collage portion of layout, 1/2" from top and right side.

    4. Place trading card on a piece of white vellum, fold vellum over card and trim vellum 1/8" larger on all sides, keeping the fold at the bottom.

    5. Stitch both sides of vellum pocket, first with white and then with black embroidery floss, with the holes spaced 1/8" apart. Use the circle punch to punch half a circle in the top of the vellum pocket. Glue a silhouette cut ball on the front and journal with black pen.

    6. Cover five tags with the companion football field paper, using the yard line portions. Trim excess to size. Tear various pieces of vellum to cover portions of the tags. Place 3/16" white eyelets in the top of each tag. String black and white fibers through and tie. Journal on vellum portions of tags, and tear vellum words out and glue to tags randomly.

    7. Use black pen to finish journaling.

    Materials:

    Navy paper with stars
    American flag paper
    12" x 12" white vellum
    12" x 12" sheets of navy and yellow vellum
    Tag Art Cut-Outs
    Black pen
    1/8" silver eyelets
    Red and white embroidery floss
    Metal number tags
    Small red buttons
    Foam mounting tape
    Small needle
    Scissors
    Ruler
    Glue

    1. Cut flag from flag paper and mat it on navy stars paper.

    2. Mat photo on navy paper, trimming navy paper to leave a 1/8" border. Glue matted photo onto stripes of the flag.

    3. Cut out of tag art letters "America" and mat on navy paper, then trim navy paper to leave a 1/16" border. Stitch through and tie small red buttons onto the tag art letter with white embroidery floss. Adhere each tag art letter with foam tape to a 1-1/2"white square, then mat to navy paper. Trim navy paper leaving a 1/8" border, to create a square for each letter.

    4. Cut from white vellum a 1-3/4" x 8-1/2" strip to create a candle. Cut from yellow vellum an oval to create the flame for the candle. Slightly crumple the white and yellow vellum and then flatten them before adhering to the page. Stitch red embroidery floss between top center of white vellum strip to bottom center of yellow vellum flame.

    5. Stitch on metal number with small red buttons and white embroidery floss.

    6. Use black pen or computer to journal patriotic feelings on white vellum. Cut out each word and attach to page with eyelets, two eyelets per word.
