Tab ties are the ideal embellishment for a monochromatic sibling page. The tab ties also create a cohesive loo by reflecting the abstract embellishments on the photo mats.

    Figure C

Accent fun sibling memories with a button-tab tie embellishment, as featured by designer Pam Lambie.

    Materials:

    Several coordinating shades of cardstock
    Eyelets
    Setting tool and hammer
    Cord
    Several colors of markers

    1. Offset photos on photo mats, then layer a variety of circles on your photo mat to create an abstract design element.

    2. Use a coordinating marker color to shadow the circles. Use a darker marker to outline.

    3. To create photo corners, cut two squares the same size, then cut in half diagonally.

    4. To create tab ties, punch two circles from cardstock and punch a 1/8" hole in the center of each (figure A).

    5. Set an eyelet in one of the circles. Before setting the eyelet in the second circle, tie a string around the base (figure B), then set.

    6. Adhere both to page and wrap string around tab (figure C).
