    Michele Gerbrandt creates a mini-album that journals the good times of summer as featured on the page.
    "Summer"

    Materials:

    12" x 12" green cardstock
    8" x 11" sheet of white vellum
    eyelets
    hole punch
    eyelet setter
    hammer
    mat for setting eyelets
    embroidery
    floss or other fiber
    scissors
    metal ruler
    embossing stylus
    acid-free adhesive (preferably a Xyron or other vellum adhesive)


    1. Cut green cardstock into three 6" x 3" rectangles. Score a line down the center of the rectangle using metal ruler and stylus. Then measure (figure A) and score lines on either side, 1/2" from the center (figure B).

    Up and away from the page is another way to go--with this accordion style mini-book!
    2. Fold rectangles together on score lines to form a mini booklet. Punch three holes along the spine, insert eyelets and set eyelets using hammer and setter (figure C). Thread floss through eyelets and tie.

    3. Write or use computer to journal on white vellum. Cut vellum into squares to fit pages of the booklet. Adhere vellum by using Xyron machine or other vellum adhesive. Adhere mini-album onto your page.
