Here's a trick: instead of allowing a frame to "chop" a feature from one of your photos, cut that feature away from the photo background, and allow it to extend over the frame border.

Designer Dee Gruenig uses rubber stamps to embellish all her album pages, creating a whimsical -- but unified -- look throughout.

    Materials:

    Small album
    Page protectors
    Apple-printed paper
Posh Impressions Rubber Stamps (Window Frame, Apply Duet and Corner Stamp Set)
    Opaque sticker paper
    Matting papers or cardstock
    Craft knife
    Brush art markers
    White ballpoint correction pen
    Beveled ruler
    Scissors
    Paper cutter
Xyron machine with adhesive cartridge, or other adhesive
    Photos (or copies)
    Recipe

    1. Cut paper to fit inside page protector, then run matting paper through Xyron if desired. Trim matting paper or cardstock 1/8" and 1/4" larger than recipe card. Adhere together.

    2. Stamp window frame, corners and duet applies onto the opaque sticker paper. Apply ink to each stamp with the brush markers, then presses. Stamp black duet apple outlines over the colored apples.

    3. Run photo through Xyron, if desired, or simply apply glue, then adhere photo to fit behind the stamped frame opening.

    4. Use white correction pen and ruler to draw a line 1/8" from outer edges along the left side and top of one page, then along top and right side of opposite page.

    5. Stick frame to left page near top, and recipe to right page near top.

    6. Stick photo corners over matted recipe, then add stamped apple designs along bottoms of both pages. Turn images in random directions.
