Watch this short video and see more of Anna Griffin's clever technique -- inspired by her childhood toys and games!

Anna Griffin took her inspiration for this project from her childhood. Griffin so loved interactive pull-tabs and strings on toys and games, that she decided to pay homage and adapt the concept for use in a scrapbook.

    Materials:

    2 sheets AG065 Blue/Green Roses
2 sheets AG055 Aqua Climbing Rose
    1 sheet AG029 Gold Solid
    1 sheet AG066 Aqua/Green Stripes
    4 pieces AG413 Aqua/Green Frames
8 pieces BC108 Green Border Journal Card
    12 inches 1/2" green ribbon
    Decorative-edged scissors
    Ruler and pencil
    Craft knife
    Foam tape
    Archival glue or tape

    1. The page grid (figure A) is key to a successful design. Create a grid on the back of the front sheet. Use a ruler to draw vertical lines at 1-3/4", 5", 7" and 10-1/4". Draw horizontal lines at 1/2", 2-1/2", 2-3/4", 4-3/4", 5", 7", 7-1/4", 9-1/4", 9-1/2" and 11-1/2".

    2. Use craft knife to cut windows from the page. These windows will appear as four 2" x 3-1/4" squares positioned 2-3/4" from the bottom and top edges of the page (figure B).

    3. Attach this sheet to the back page by taping vertically on the left, right and center of the back surface.

    4. Create a grid on the front of the sheet that will slide behind the top sheet. This will ensure proper photo placement.

    5. Cut the tabs from this sheet. Allow 1/8" on each side of the grid lines to ensure that the pull-tab appears in the window correctly.

    6. Trim photos to 2" x 3-1/4" and attach to pull-tabs (figure C). Add photos to top 2 spaces, then add captions to the bottom 2 spaces. The caption on the third space will correspond to the first photo, while the fourth space caption will correspond to the second photo.

    7. Layer and adhere pages and embellish as desired.
