    Figure B

Designer Tricia Morris shares her ideas for creating a patriotic Fourth of July page.

    Materials:

    White paper
    Club Scrap "Americana" Kit
    Ice Stickles Glitter Glue
    Color Box Sponge-tipped Stylus
    Black and yellow dye inks
    Clear photo mounting corners

    1. Using stamp designs from the kit, stamp "Stars and Stripes" in cranberry red onto white paper.

    2. Matte onto red and blue, then mount to page.

    3. Use glitter glue to outline and accent the motif (figure A) as desired.

    4. To create the stencil overlay, begin by sponging the "Hand of Liberty" stencil with black ink using the sponge-tipped stylus (figure B).

    5. Move stencil to overlay flame on torch. Sponge yellow ink over the stylus using the stylus.

    6. Remove stencil and blend the colors using the sponge.
