Designer Tricia Morris shares her ideas for creating a patriotic Fourth of July page. Materials: White paper Club Scrap "Americana" Kit Ice Stickles Glitter Glue Color Box Sponge-tipped Stylus Black and yellow dye inks Clear photo mounting corners - Using stamp designs from the kit, stamp "Stars and Stripes" in cranberry red onto white paper.
- Matte onto red and blue, then mount to page.
- Use glitter glue to outline and accent the motif (figure A) as desired.
- To create the stencil overlay, begin by sponging the "Hand of Liberty" stencil with black ink using the sponge-tipped stylus (figure B).
- Move stencil to overlay flame on torch. Sponge yellow ink over the stylus using the stylus.
- Remove stencil and blend the colors using the sponge.
