Designer Jill Miller creates richness and dimension by combining pearlescent metallic paints with metallic stickers. Materials: Rust velveteen paper, 8-1/2" x 11"
Pearl Ex powdered paints (verdigris, red russet and sparkle gold)
Make-up applicator
Acid-free fixative spray
Stampendous Class A Peels copper leaf stickers
Gold gel pen
Shiny black paper
Copper wire
Southwest-motif corner punch
- Peel outline of copper stickers away from backing and arrange in cascading manner on left side of rust velveteen paper.
- Use make-up applicator to apply Pearl Ex powder in center of leaves (figure A). Blow away excess pigment.
- Add additional leaves by pressing tape to copper leaf, removing tape, then pressing to page surface (figure B) .
- Spray page with acid-free fixative.
- Trim shiny black paper and punch all four corners.
- Wrap copper wire around a round object, pull off and twist to create curling wire for mat. Thread wire through punched corners and secure on back side of mat.
- Add photo and journaling to finish page.
