The key to quick pages (that are as cute as a bug, like this one) is pre-fabricated borders, mats and frames with perforated edges. Here, designer Debra Beagle demonstrates her technique for using paper frames.

Designer Debra Beagle uses perforated frames and borders to put a complete page together in under 15 minutes!

    Scissors
    Photo corners
    Photo-safe adhesive
    Water brush
    Colored mulberry paper
Pre-fabricated frame, mat and journaling card set
    Die-cuts
    Pre-fabricated title square
    Cropped photos

    1. First, separate the pre-fabricated materials at the perforated edges.

    2. Then, use scissors to cut the four sides of the frame apart (figure A).

    3. Position two largest strips horizontally across page, a few inches from the top. Align with outer edges (borders will have a gap between in the center of the page, which will be covered by the title square0.

    4. From the two smaller strips, cut a decorative element (in this example, stars) to be used as a corner embellishment on one of the photos (figure B).

    5. Next, adhere a second photo and the larger frame to the page (figure C).

    6. Use a refillable water brush to "drag" across the mulberry paper (figure D). Hand-tear mulberry paper at wet area.

    7. Apply mulberry paper strip over the horizontal frame embellishments, then top with title square.

    8. Add journaling squares, die-cuts and additional embellishments to complete the page as desired.
