While this might look like expensive background paper, the effect was achieved with the use of three coordinating stamp designs.

The same stamp designs were used to create this lovely greeting card. The jar at the bottom of the card was stamped, then masked off as sprigs of greenery and blossom designs were added.

Did you know that stamps can be interactive? By combining several stamps, Judith Kleinschmidt creates a harmonious design.

    Materials:

    Sprig stamps
    Stamps with small leaf designs
    Flower stamp
    Red and green inks
    Damp cloth or paper towel
    Heart template

    1. Begin by placing heart template on page left of the center.

    2. Then, use spring stamp to stamp over edge of heart template. Part of the stamped image will be on the template, while the other portion will be on the page. Tip: Create dimension by varying pressure while pressing stamps.

    3. Next, move the heart template slightly to right of center. Position so that hearts will overlap and appear to be "interlocking." Stamp sprigs in the same manner as in step 2 (figure A).

    4. Next, begin stamping leaves over the sprigs. Avoid stamping leaves in a continuous pattern -- instead, add leaves randomly.

    5. Use red ink to stamp small flower images around the wreath (figure B).

    6. Use journaling pen to add names inside hearts.

    7. Journal, embellish and add photos as desired.
