Looking for an unusual way to transport a lot of photos in very little space? Take a look at this clever accordion book kit. Designer Janice Lowe offers tips and techniques for an accordion layout. - Begin by opening the accordion album and pressing it as flat as possible (figure A).
- Then, crop and mat photo on decorative paper included with the kit (figure B).
- Cut paper squares in half diagonally (figure C) to fit the triangular portions of the folds. Tip: Photos can be cut in the same manner to fit the folds. Take care not to cut through anyone's face when cutting the photo diagonally.
- Then, use a tool or book to help hold the flattened accordion in place. Begin adhering photos to the center squares of the album. Embellish with quotes, decorative papers, and stickers as desired.
