All of the textured elements on this page can safely be run through the Xyron 850 sticker machine -- as long as the items are less than 1/16" of an inch thick.

The delicate leaves on this nature page were also safely run through a sticker machine before being affixed around the photo.

Milanka Muelke attaches textured fabric and paper to create a charming "Bath Time" page.

    Materials:

Sticker machine and permanent adhesive cartridge
    12" x 12" paper with bubbles motif
    8-1/2" x 14" blue corrugated paper
    8-1/2" x 11" yellow corrugated paper
    8-1/2" x 11" plain white cardstock
    Scallop-style decorative-edge scissors
    Scissors
    8-1/2" x 11" vellum
    Bath-themed photos
    One 3mm "wiggle" eye
    Scrap of orange paper
24" length of 1/8" ribbon (blue)
    Scrap of terry cloth
    Scrap of yellow compressed sponge
Printed title or blue acid-free marker

    1. Cut 1-1/2" strip of blue corrugated paper for the bottom of the page. Make sure that reverse design of scallop is the top of the "wave."

    2. Then, cut a yellow duck and wing from the yellow corrugated paper using straight-edged scissors. Trim the bottom of the duck's wing using the scallop-edged scissors. Use straight scissors to cut an orange duckbill.

    3. Cut away background from photo (in this example, all that remains is the child in the tub and bubbles). Crop the remaining image to the desired size.

    4. Use scallop-edged scissors to cut a blue corrugated mat to fit around photo, leaving 3/8" borders.

    5. Next, cut a few vellum bubbles as embellishments.

    6. Cut a small 1" x 1-1/2" rectangle of terry cloth as a washcloth.

    7. Cut a mini duck shape from the compressed sponge.

    8. Then, hand-letter (or print from the computer) page title with blue ink on white card stock.

    9. Use sticker machine to apply adhesive to the photos, corrugated pieces, vellum bubbles and white title square.

    10. Use blue ribbon to tie two bows and run through sticker machine, along with the "wiggle" eye, duck's beak and sponge duck.

    11. Position and affix bath photo to the page so that it is layered under the wave. Apply the blue corrugated wave to the bottom of the page. Gently lift one section of the wave and tuck corner of washcloth under it (figure A). Press wave back into place.

    12. Remove clear protector from top of adhesive pieces before adhering. Then, apply beak to duck, wiggle eye and one of the blue bows. Apply duck sponge to blue wave.

    13. Apply photo to upper left hand of page.

    14. Embellish with blue corrugated borders.

    15. Affix white caption to upper right of page and embellish with remaining blue bow.

    16. Finally, randomly apply vellum bubbles to page.
