Anna Griffin creates a beautiful botanical border page to frame a formal wedding portrait. Materials: Craft knife
Green paper
Purple paper
Several sheets of patterned paper with Victorian botanical pattern (3 different patterns, coordinating shades)
Green journal page
Foam tape
Archival glue stick
8" x 10" or 5" x 7" photo
Purple ribbon photo corners
- Cut green solid to 11" x 11" and mount to first patterned paper.
- Then, cut second patterned paper to 10-3/4" x 10-3/4" and mount to the base.
- Cut purple solid to 9-3/4" x 9-3/4" and mount to the base.
- Cut third patterned paper to 10-3/4" x 10-3/4" and mount to base (figure A).
- Cut a piece of the first patterned paper to 7-1/2" x 9" and cut an oval from center to accommodate photograph (figure B).
- Next, use craft knife to cut out individual flowers from the botanical pattern (figure C).
- Apply foam tape to back of individual flowers (figure D). Begin layering around the photograph to frame and add dimension (figure E).
- Handwrite or laser print journal page. Cut and glue to bottom of page.
- Attach purple ribbon corners for a finishing touch.
