Matted photos, embellishments and other page elements (not yet attached to page)
Laser-cut snowflake dies
Small hole punch
Eyelets
Eyelet punch
Eyelet setter
Archival mist
Embroidery floss
Tape
- Without adhering pieces, assemble page elements on scrapbook page to check placement and design (figure A).
- While elements are in position, determine placement of eyelets at top of page.
- Mark position, then remove all elements.
- Next, use eyelet punch to punch holes in paper (figure B). Work carefully on a protected surface.
- Then, position eyelet in hole. Use eyelet setter to expand eyelet (figure C). Repeat for all eyelets.
- Adhere all page elements to the scrapbook page.
- Spray archival mist over embroidery floss (if necessary) to buffer the floss and make it acid-free.
- Then, add laser-cut snowflake die to the end of a piece of embroidery floss cut a few inches shorter than the page. Tip: Consider cutting floss to varying lengths in order to stagger dangling die-cuts from the top of the page.
- Thread opposite end of floss through eyelets (figure D) and use tape to secure floss to back surface.
- Repeat process to secure remaining snowflakes to page.
