Ed Smith demonstrates a line of metallic paper that can add pizazz to plain scrapbook projects. Here, Smith creates an antiqued brick look and gold foil "roof". Materials: Red Ultra (TM) Foil Gold Ultra (TM) Foil White spray paint Soft, absorbent cloth Fiskars (TM) crimper Adhesive Cardstock Stylus Black marker - First, "fan" fold the red foil. Then, fold strip into small sections.
- Unfold the foil to reveal creases.
- Spray paint over creased surface. Use soft cloth to rub paint into creases and remove excess.
- Use crimper to add texture to gold foil (figure A).
- Adhere crimped gold foil to cardstock to strengthen form.
- Use stylus to draw texture lines on foil (to look like shingles). Add additional details with black marker (figure B)
- Add elements to the page to create a house.
