Joy Macdonell shares her technique for creating a unique stamped background.

    Materials:

    Stamp-a-ma-jig™
    Leaf rubber stamps
    Brown craft cardstock
    Black cardstock
    Jute cardstock
Brown, orange and green ink pads
    Nine mini copper brads
    Copper wire mesh
ABC Tracers™ lettering template in Wacky Upper

Note: While Macdonell uses the Stamp-a-ma-jig for this demonstration, the technique can be adapted to use with rubber stamps you may already have.

    1. Place the Imaging Sheet securely in the corner of the Stamp-a-ma-jig. Align one of the three leaf stamps snugly in the corner and stamp onto a corner of the imaging sheet. Repeat this process by stamping each leaf stamp on a corner of the Imaging Sheet (figure A).

    2. Position imaging sheet on brown cardstock where you desired a stamped leaf image. Make sure imaging sheet is securely positioned in the corner of the Stamp-a-ma-jig.

    3. While firmly holding the Stamp-a-ma-jig in place, slowly remove the Imaging Sheet. Align leaf stamp using the Stamp-a-ma-jig corner as a guide and stamp the leaf in place (figure B).

    4. Continue random stamping of leaves on the brown cardstock until you have created the background pattern you desire (figure C).

    5. Cut a 2" x 12" piece of copper wire mesh. Attach to brown cardstock using nine mini copper brads.

    6. Use the ABC Tracers template to cut title letters from jute cardstock.

    7. Mat each letter on black cardstock, then mat photos on black and jute cardstock.

    8. Adhere elements to page.
