With the competition and judging in the annual Topgun scale competition complete, and the scores all tallied, the winners -- from among 84 contestants -- are finally announced:
Expert Class The winner in the expert class is Joe Rafalowski with his T-33.
Designeer Class The winner in the designer class is veteran designer Bob Violett with his F-100 (figure A).
Team-Competition Class The winners in team competition are Joe Grice and ace pilot David Shulman.
Mr. Topgun The highest honor at the competition -- Mr. Topgun -- goes to designer Bob Violett, creator of the F-100 design (figure B). Bob is owner of Bob Violett Models, which produces RC jets and is responsible for the design of many of the aircraft entered in the Topgun competition.
