    Tips:

    • When planning your remodeling project, preview your new space by using chalk lines to mark the location of walls, fixtures and cabinets.

    • When working out your remodeling budget, plan to set aside 10 to 20 percent of the total budget for unexpected costs that may arise during the course of the project.

    • The average kitchen remodeling project costs between fifteen and twenty-six thousand dollars and is one of the most easily recuperated remodeling investments.

    • Leftover paint will keep well in 1-quart sports water bottles.

    • Don't throw out that chip canister, you can keep a paint roller from drying out overnight by storing it inside.

    • Color your mood. Painting with light colors makes a space feel roomier and cooler. Dark colors are used to create a warmer, cozy effect.
