    Figure B

    Materials: (figure A)

    20-gauge galvanized wire
    Wire cutters
    Pliers
    Polymer clay
    Oven
    Aluminum foil

    1. Mold clay into the shape you'd like. Use your imagination here, but you don't want to get the clay too thin in any one place. Also, try to leave a good wide top to your clay structure so that you have lots of room to stick the wires in.

    2. Cut off a piece of wire and bend it into a flat spiral on one end (figure B). This is what holds the photo in place; the other end will go into the clay. Repeat for the number of wires you want in your holder.

    3. Push the wires deep into the clay.

    4. Cover the whole structure with aluminum foil and bake according to the instructions on the clay package.

    Tip:

    • Don't worry if your wire spirals aren't perfect. They actually look better when they're mismatched and funky.

Where do you get the products for this project?

Polymer clay can be purchased at a craft store.
Galvanized wire can be found at a hardware store.
