More in Painting
Before painting the walls, roll out heavy rosin paper, available at most home-improvement centers, over the floors and tape in place. The paper will protect the floors from accidental paint drips and is not as slippery as a drop cloth.
Tape painter's tape along the moldings and windows and paint a thin coat of varnish along the tape edges to prevent paint from seeping underneath.
