    Make your own gift-wrapping paper from kraft paper painted with dye.

    Vicki Payne, host of DIY Crafts, makes wrapping paper quickly and easily by painting dye onto kraft paper.

    Materials:
    Cold-water fabric dye
    Water
    Bowl for mixing dye
    Wood paint-stirring stick
    Kraft paper
    Paintbrush
    Ribbon
    Note: Once pots, bowls and utensils have been used for mixing dye, they shouldn't be used again for food preparation.

    1. Mix dye according to package directions.

    2. Use a paintbrush to paint designs onto kraft paper. Let the dye dry (figure A).

    3. Wrap packages, and add bows of coordinating ribbon. Vicki used black dye.
