So-called "invisible" zippers don't always live up to their name, but taking a couple of extra steps may solve the problem. - Press the zipper open before sewing it (figure A). It's been pre-pressed to make it less noticeable when it's sewn in, but pressing it open beforehand will make it easier to insert.
- Baste the zipper into the side seam of the skirt (figure B).
- Sew the zipper into skirt using invisible zipper foot.
- Sew side seam leaving an opening for a side slit at the bottom.
