    Figure B

Putting the pants and lining together is as easy as 1-2-3!

    1. Sew inseams, outer seams (including side zipper on the left side only) and the crotch seam.

    2. To create a modified French seam, pin front and back pants lining pieces together at inseam, wrong sides together. Serge together along the raw edge. Press seam to one side, fold so right sides of pants are together, and stitch again using a straight stitch at 3/8". Repeat for the out seam (remember to leave opening on left side for the zipper).

    3. Stitch the crotch seam as a regular seam, using 5/8" seam allowance. Trim crotch seam down to 1/4". Stitch hem lace right next to seam. Fold lace over seam and stitch again near the seam line (figure A). Stitch hem lace to raw edge of lining hem (figure B). Turn hem up to 2" and machine-stitch the edge of the lace.
