    FINISHING

    1. Bring Right STRAP to meet BACK, making certain STRAP is not twisted. Place STRAP behind BACK (to the wrong side), lining it up against the right edge

    2. Ch 1, working through Row 18 of BACK and Row 21 of RIGHT STRAP (2nd to last row of STRAP worked) -- sl st into the first stitch, sl st into the next 7 (8, 9, 10, 11) st

    3. Working only through Row 18 of BACK, sl st into the next 20 (22, 25, 26, 28) st

    4. Bring Left STRAP to meet BACK, making certain STRAP is not twisted. Place STRAP behind BACK (to the wrong side), lining it up against the left edge

    5. Ch 1, working through Row 18 of BACK and Row 21 of Left STRAP (2nd to last Row of STRAP Worked) -- sl st into the first stitch, sl st into the next 8 (9, 10, 11, 12) st, ch 1.

Important: Before you fasten off, try the garment on: you might find you want more or less room in the armholes. Lengthen or shorten BACK in 2-row increments to the desired fit. When the fit is as you wish it, fasten off and weave in all ends.
