    Even if your office is nothing more than a prefab cube, you can personalize it with these delightful hand-crochet accessories: a pencil holder and a container for a cube of sticky paper.

    Pencil and Paper Cube Holders
    Pencil Holder

    Materials:

    Reynolds Saucy (100% mercerized cotton, 185 yd./100g): 1 skein each purple (#408) and gold (#405)
    US F5/3.75 mm crochet hook
    darning needle

    Approx. size: 4" high x 3" high (top) and 2-1/2" high (bottom)

    Bottom:
    Using either color, ch 13, 1 sc in second ch from hook, 1 sc in each ch across, ch 1, turn (12 sc including turning ch). Work a total of 14 rows sc. Fasten off.

    Sides: (make 4: 2 purple and 2 gold)
    Ch 13, 1 sc in second ch from hook, 1 sc in each ch across, ch 1, turn (12 sc including turning ch). Work a total of 19 rows sc. Fasten off.

    Sew or use sc or sl st to attach sides to bottom. You want to use a sturdy stitch so the vertical edges are thick and they stand up.

    Weave in loose ends.

    Paper Cube Holder

    Materials:

    Reynolds Saucy (100% mercerized cotton, 185 yd./100g): 1 skein each purple (#408) and gold (#405)
    US F5/3.75 mm crochet hook

    Approx. size: 3 1/2"(w)x2"(h)

    Bottom:
    Using purple (MC), ch 15, 1sc in second ch from hook, 1 sc in each ch across, ch1, turn (14 sc including turning ch). Work a total of 16 rows. Fasten off.

    Sides: (make 1)
    Using purple (MC), ch 55, 1 sc in second ch from hook, 1 sc in each ch across, ch 1, turn (54 sc including turning ch). Work a total of 8 rows. Fasten off.

    Sew or use sc or sl st to attach sides to bottom (wrap around). Position the side so there is a thumb notch created at the center front (figure A). Using gold (CC), sc all around the edges.

    Weave in loose ends.
