    CRYSTAL NECKLACE
    Materials:
    yarn - 1 cone of South West Trading Company Shimmer in Silver (#405)
    1 pair #0 double-pointed needles
    13, 8mm blue bicone beads
    14, 6mm lime bicone beads
    silver jewelry clasp
    2 silver crimp beads with knot covers
    chain-nose pliers
    embroidery needle
    beading needle (optional)
    jeweler's glue (optional)

    Finished Size
    14" long

    Gauge
    I-Cord is 1/8" wide

    Stitches
    Knit
    I-cord - Knit first row. * Slide stitches to opposite end of double-pointed needle. Yarn will be at the very last st on the left. Knit into the first stitch on the right, pulling yarn firmly when wrapping around needle. Knit across row. Repeat from * until desired length is reached.

    Rings (make 13):

    1. Cast on 3 stitches.
    2. Work I-cord for 2".
    3. Bind off leaving a 4" tail.
    4. Using embroidery needle, sew cast on and bind off ends together to create circle.
    5. Weave in ends.

    Stringing the Necklace

    1. Cut a 24" length of Shimmer and thread an embroidery or beading needle.
    2. Slide a lime bead onto thread.
    3. Push embroidery or beading needle through one side of a ring and tie a knot (if desired, jeweler's glue may be used instead of tying knots).
    4. Slide a blue bead onto thread and tie a knot.
    5. Insert needle through opposite side of ring.
    6. Slide a lime bead onto thread.
    7. Repeat steps 3 through 6, 12 more times.

    Insert one end of the 24" length of Shimmer (now strung with beads and rings) through crimp bead with knot cover. Double knot and cut excess thread. Place a small amount of glue on knot. Add clasp to the hook (figure C) on the crimp bead with knot cover then use jewelry pliers to close.
