    Crystal Earrings
    CRYSTAL EARRINGS
    Materials:
    yarn - 1 cone of South West Trading Company Shimmer in Silver (#405)
    1 pair #0 double-pointed needles
    4, 6mm blue bicone beads
    2, 8mm lime bicone beads
    2, 2" silver head pins
    2 silver earring wires
    round-nose pliers
    wire cutters
    embroidery needle
    beading needle (optional)
    jeweler's glue (optional)

    Finished Size
    2" long (not including earring wire)

    Gauge
    I-Cord is 1/8" wide

    Stitches
    Knit
    I-cord - Knit first row. * Slide stitches to opposite end of double-pointed needle. Yarn will be at the very last st on the left. Knit into the first stitch on the right, pulling yarn firmly when wrapping around needle. Knit across row. Repeat from * until desired length is reached.

    Rings (make 2)

    1. Cast on 3 stitches.
    2. Work I-cord for 2".
    3. Bind off leaving a 4" tail.
    4. Using embroidery needle, sew cast on and bind off ends together to create circle.
    5. Weave in ends.

    Form Earring

    1. Slide a blue bicone bead onto a head pin.
    2. Insert head pin through one end of a ring.
    3. Slide on a lime bead.
    4. Insert the head pin into the opposite side of ring.
    5. Slide on a blue bead.
    6. Apply a small amount of jeweler's glue to both ends (inside the holes) of the lime bead to hold it in place.
    7. Let the head pin dry on a flat surface.
    8. Cut head pin with wire cutters leaving approximately 1/4" exposed.

    1. Bend the exposed wire to form a 90-degree angle (figure B).
    2. Using round-nose jewelry pliers, curve the exposed end of the head pin into a loop.
    3. Before closing this loop, place the earring wire loop through it.
    4. Close the head pin loop.
    5. Repeat Steps 1 through 12 for second earring.
