    yarn - Classic Elite Provence, 100-percent mercerized Egyptian cotton, 3-1/2 oz/100g, 205yrds/186m
      4 skeins of Portland Teal (#2690)
      1 skein of Herbal Sage (#2621)
    knitting needles - U.S. size 9 or size to render gauge
    crochet hook - size G

    Knitting Gauge
    18 sts & 24 rows = 4" in pattern st

    Finished Measurements
    chest - 32 (36, 40)"
    length - 12 (13,14)"

    Pattern St
    Row 1: Knit.

    Row 2: *k1,p1, repeat from * ending with a k1.

    Repeat these 2 rows for pattern.

    Work even for 1", then dec 1 st on right side every other row 16 (18, 22) times, 19 (21, 21) sts. Work even until same length as back.

    Same as the left, only reverse shaping.

    Crochet edge with Herbal Sage yarn and G crochet hook. Join yarn to the left shoulder seam and work a sc around the entire body of the shrug as follows: work 1 sc in each st and sc in each 2 rows then skip the next (figure C).

    Row 2: *sc, 2 hdc, sc in each ch 3 space, repeat from * around join with sl st to first st.
