    Materials:
    yarn
      Moda•Dea Espree - 1 ball Grassy (#2630)
    1 pair #9 straight needles
    2 stitch markers
    2, 2" x 2" x 2" upholstery foam blocks
    42, 1/2" pompons
    craft or fabric glue
    yarn needle

    Gauge: 11 stitches and 16 rows = 2"

    Knitting Panels: (make two per die)
    With #9 needles, cast on 11 stitches leaving an 18" tail.

    Knit 16 rows.

    Purl next row.

    Knit next row.

    Loosely bind off leaving an 18" tail (figure C).

    Finishing:
    1. Wrap one panel around a foam block, covering 3 sides of the block (figure D). At each stitch marker, the panel will be at a 90-degree angle with the wrong side of fabric touching the foam block. Hold in place and remove stitch markers.

    2. Wrap second panel around remaining 3 sides of foam block in the same manner.

    3. With tapestry needle and a tail of yarn, whip stitch the 2 panels together where they meet (figure E). Repeat for second die.

    4. Glue pompons to dice (figure F).

    5. Cut a 14" length of yarn and attach one end to any of the eight points of the first die. Attach other end of this yarn to a corresponding point on the second die (figure G). Dice will hang from this length of yarn. Weave in ends.
